Reflection

I think as a team so far the only issue we have run into would mainly be due to our busy work weeks it is definitely down to communication. We have measures in place to counter act what has been going on in terms of our inefficient communication such as a timetable made for our time over Christmas and into the new year of what we have to be doing week by week. Going forward from this i am looking forward to working in a more efficient well structured manor for the rest of this project.

Match Between system and the real world

The design and information is displayed in a neat and concise manner for the user you easily understand the flow of the application.

Error Prevention

The Error prevention is present in our form prototypes . In future every form we have will have full validation and that will display to the user when something has gone wrong i.e when logging in if the user must enter in his/hers correct username and password or the system will give them an error message telling them where they went wrong.

Visibility of System Status

In the prototypes it is clear to the user what page they are on it is neatly laid out. On adding food ,meals and or recipes the system will notify the user it has been successfully added and or failed due to a reason displayed to the user.

Recognition rather than recall

The user on login will be shown their daily progress and also when adding food or meals previous meals they have added or have added most will appear at the top of the list to make the system memorable and easy to learn the flow each time they login.

Help and Documentation

The Documentation for the application is not developed yet as the system has not been fully made we will have contact us and about pages to guide the user to support for the web application.

Recognize, Diagnose and recover from errors

The error messages will be short clear and concise.

Aesthetic and Minimalistic Design

Due to the prototypes now being developed using software the aesthetic of the site is easier to judge. There is a much cleaner look than the paper prototypes its got much more structure and is clear and concise.

User Control and Freedom

The prototype includes a CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) functionality this will be available for pretty much every part of our main functionality of the web app and allow the user to make the app their own e.g CRUD Profile,Food and Meals etc.

Flexibility and Efficiency of Use

The efficiency for the project will be there wont be a filler pages only the pages that need to be there so

Scenario

During her free time, Amanda enjoys to spend time with her family and have date night’s with her husband as her hectic life style is very busy with her kids job and husband.

Due to her very busy life style she has no time to prep healthy meals for work and home as she is up early and has to take the kids to school.

She is self conscious of her weight so this makes it quite hard for her to go to the gym and keep motivated to track her calories.

She has used many calorie tracking application’s and never found one that is user friendly or motivates her to keep on track and be a better version of herself.

She wants a application that motivates her to keep on track sending daily and helpful reminders about logging food and also a quick and easy UI to follow.

Also her days are very hectic having to deal with small children all day so the majority of her energy is drained by the end of it.
